YOU… yeah you! I know you want to get fit — but the excuses, excuses are powerful things huh?
We should realize that enough is enough quicker than diving into cheeseburgers and fries (praying that the consequences won’t show through our clothes). My favorite thing to say is: YOU CAN’T OUT-EXERCISE A BAD DIET. It’s not going to happen. There has to be some balance. Generally speaking, for the women. Cause men.. well men.. well that’s another blog post all on its own. No pun!
Disclaimer: I’m not an expert in super dieting and exercise, but I know some things from pure knowledge and from my athleticism days. I know enough to maintain a healthy & sexy lifestyle. Then again, it’s not rocket science. This plan won’t consist of weight lifting training or any type of training for future body competitions or anything. Just a basic dieting and exercise plan that will make you feel better, become more content, and happier about your body internally and externally.
FIRST
- Those on again, off again monthly diets need to stop.
- Nights in the gym for 3 weeks… THEY need to stop.
- Oh… “I’m just going to eat veggies this week”….. STOP.
- Consistency & Commitment are the words. Make them your favorites!
SECOND
- List your goals. We are all different and don’t necessarily want to achieve the same results.
For me, I want to tone (thighs, arms, & abs), shed inches, and continue eating healthy.
THIRD
- Get rid of all junk. By junk, I mean food that’s not improving your overall health and not getting you closer to those goals.
I actually made this decision back in August when I first began my Nike Training Club adventure. I no longer snacked on junk for the hell of it. I no longer pigged out on cheeseburgers and pizza. That’s when I fell in love with VEGGIES & PISTACHIOS. I also gave up pork, beef, and turkey. You don’t have to do that, but it’s been a good life change for me. So generally, my diet consists of seafood, chicken, veggies & nuts. Juice, water; I occasionally snack, but definitely NOT often.
Nike Training Club has created a brilliant plan that starts on a beginner level and goes to an expert + level. I started these workout sessions back in August and I did really well for the first 3 months with very light workouts & stretches. As the high demands of school and work increased, I slowed down and eventually stopped. I was well on my way to getting my extra sexiness on. No shedding pounds, just toning! Since then, I have not gained any pounds or anything, but my toning process is not where I’d like it to be, just from my occasional workouts here & there. So, I’m going to start all over and this time, commit to excelling. This is me — not being selfish and instead, sharing this process with my readers. What’s your excuse?? I mean, April 1st begins on a Monday so…………..
*crickets*
Monday, April 1st is the START DAY!
If you’re serious, you’ll have a full week to get rid of all bad habits. A FULL WEEK and some change actually. So enjoy. In the coming days, I’ll share tips, inspiration, easy/inexpensive clean eating, and explain how this new lifestyle will run via Nike Training Club and this blog. And my tips won’t be the out-of-the-way type of tips. Definitely manageable where you won’t have an excuse. So join the club!
Remember, you can create and craft your body to look any way you want! Beat the challenge to do so.
**And to ensure that I’m staying committed & consistent, I’ll be documenting my process.
