After a lengthy winter season, spring has finally sprung and summer is quickly approaching! For the sentimental romantics, one may think that the winter months may bring the perfect time to spice up your relationship or marriage, but now that summer is almost here, all I can envision is playful fun! A heated seasonal experience where you can really witness another side of your partner’s personality. Whether it’s roleplaying in the bedroom, in the air (think skydiving), or camping out in the woods, here are a few tips that I’ve gathered to help bring that hidden other side of your mate OUT!
- Create a bucket list. Aren’t you familiar with the film, “The Bucket List” (2007) starring Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson? Basically, you come up with a list of things you want to experience or accomplish before a specific time is up. This could be before you hit your 5 year wedding anniversary, or 3rd date, but you create a short list and get it done! People are beginning to get really creative with the bucket list phenomenon and many different versions have sprung up, one of which only consists of items for you and your significant other.
- Roleplay. Now here I think is the most fun of them all. You and your partner get crazy creative and get dressed up in a character, act out a scene amongst the two of you and just have a fun evening enjoying a side of your partner that you don’t see often. One online shop that caters specially to this idea is www.3wishes.com. I’ve actually ordered a costume from this company, back in October of 2012, however it was for a Halloween party (shhhh… I went as a sexy Pocahontas). But the costume was perfect and helped define my curves really well! They have a range of costume categories: bridal, Halloween of course, fantasy and even TV/Movie costumes. Not to forget their wild collection of lingerie!
- Take risks. This could mean, skydiving like mentioned earlier, skinny dipping (maybe while you’re on that camping trip); either way, the goal here is to complete an activity that you’ve never done together. Preferably something wild and crazy! This could also be included in your bucket list.
There. But don’t stop with my last bullet point, hopefully by now I’ve gotten your creative juices cooking! Just remember who and why you’re doing it for. The key to surviving any relationship or marriage is staying in love and the keys to that are to keep it spicy + fun!
