We all want perfect, blemish-free skin, but with all skin types prone to blemishes, that isn’t always easy. Whether you have dry, oily, combination or normal skin, you can fall fail to blemishes.

Not only are facial blemishes annoying, but they can also knock your confidence. I know that when my skin doesn’t look perfect, I always feel a lot more self-conscious. While we can’t prevent all blemishes from occurring, what we can do is boost our skin’s health, making blemishes less likely to occur.

To help you keep your skin as free of blemishes as possible, I have put together a few simple tips to follow. For everything that you need to know, keep reading, below:

Follow a daily skincare routine

If you don’t already have a daily skincare routine in place, now is the time to create one. The best way to keep your skin looking healthy is ensuring that you take proper care of it, and the best way to do that is with a good skincare routine.

Your daily skincare routine should consist of cleansing, toning, and moisturizing. Ideally, you want to use products that are free of chemicals and oils and are as natural as possible. If you suffer from spots, opt for products that contain witch hazel, tea tree oil or aloe vera, as these are great for stopping spots from occurring.

Exfoliate once a week

As well as following a daily skincare routine,  you also need to exfoliate once a week. Exfoliating is important as if you fail to exfoliate your skin, dead skin cells and dry skin will block your pores, causing blemishes to occur. That’s why it’s crucial that you exfoliate your face at least once a week.

Again, make sure only to opt for exfoliation products that are free of chemicals and as natural as possible. Exfoliators penetrate deep into the skin, which means that products with chemicals in can cause irritation.

Treat spots as they occur

One of the main causes of facial blemishes is spots. If you suffer from spots, it’s important to treat each spot as it first occurs, as this will reduce the severity of it. There are lots of ways that you can treat spots, but one of the best options is using natural remedies.

The best natural remedies for treating spots include witch hazel, aloe vera gel, manuka honey, and tea tree oil.
