Is it just me, or can putting a winning outfit together be tough most of the time? It normally takes me a good 30 minutes to make sure everything looks great before I feel good to go. However, with a few little changes, I’ve managed to start putting my outfits together in under 10 minutes! Want to know how I do it? Here are my tips:
Arrange and Organize Your Wardrobe
If you spend a little time simply arranging and organizing your wardrobe, then you’ll find it so much easier to put outfits together. Arranging and organizing may take a while if you’ve let things get out of hand, but if you keep it that way afterwards it shouldn’t be too much trouble at all.
Only Have Clothes Out for the Right Season
Don’t have everything you own hanging up in your wardrobe at once. Only have clothes hanging up for the right season. If it’s winter, then winter clothes. Summer, then summer clothes. Put your other clothes into storage to stop you from getting confused or wasting time. Only keep clothes out if they can be layered to create a new look, and you know you’ll actually wear them again. I like to buy items I know will be good for all seasons. A women’s tunic can be worn whatever the weather if you pair it with the right items!

When Shopping, Make Sure Any New Items Can Be Worn 3 Different Ways
When you go shopping, make sure you only ever buy items that you know you can wear 3 different ways. Failing to do so will leave you complaining that you have nothing to wear again! If you only buy items you know you can wear a minimum of 3 different ways, you’ll always have something to wear. Plus, you’ll really get your money’s worth out of anything you buy. Your whole wardrobe will begin to tie in together and all you’ll need to do is grab a couple of things and you’ll be good to go.
Regularly Look at Pinterest for Inspo
Regularly look at Pinterest to get inspiration for your outfits. If you add pictures to your board, you should notice a few patterns when it comes to what you like. You can then buy items that match this style, and you’ll always be happy with what you wear!
Make Sure Your Look is Balanced
Any outfit you wear should be balanced, so pay attention to the fit of the things you’re putting on. I have seen girls on Instagram wear baggy jumpers with baggy trousers, and while that may look quite ‘high fashion’ to some, I just don’t feel it flatters me. I like to make sure my look is balanced and that my body isn’t on show too much or hidden too much.
Sprinkle Over Accessories
Finally, I always sprinkle over a few accessories. You can’t usually go wrong with a ring or two, a stack of bracelets and a few layering necklaces. However, it all depends on the look you’ve gone for.
