As you plan your wedding, you’re going to have a hundred thoughts a minute rushing through your mind. You have a lot to think about and remember as you plan. You’ll find a ton of wedding planning guides out there that can help you. However, there are a few questions you need to ask yourself as you plan your wedding to be sure you’re doing it right.
Are You Being Realistic With Your Budget?
You should have worked out your maximum budget before doing any planning at all. Then you need to allocate your budget to different aspects of your wedding. You need to make sure you’re being realistic with it, or you could run out of money for the more important things. There are loads of different ways you can cut back on your budget, like not having favors and reducing the amount of flowers. Overall, they won’t make a huge difference to the day. You’re better off splurging on things that will change the experience.

Are you Making it Personal to You?
Your wedding should be personal to you. That’s the only way it’s going to feel like the most special day in the world to you both. You can make it personal in lots of different ways. Your favorite colors as the color scheme, favorite foods served to guests, and favorite songs played by the DJ.
Does it Suit the Both of You?
Your wedding needs to not only suit you, but your other half too. They might not have much to do with the planning, but you want them to have a good time too. Ask them for a little input and see what they’d like to have on their big day.
Is it Unique and Memorable?
If you want your wedding to go down in history, it should be unique and memorable. Don’t feel as if you have to stick to tradition or make it blend in with the rest. For instance, if one of you has Chinese heritage, you could choose to have Chinese wedding invitation designs. This will show how unique it is going to be right from the start!
Are Your Guests Going to Enjoy Themselves?
After you and your other half, the guests need to be having a good time too. Think of your guests when you come up with the playlists, entertainment, and food. Depending on how many people you’ve invited, you can make it more personal to them too. How about including some of your nearest and dearest’s favorite songs on the DJ set? Think about how to get them up and dancing as well as laughing.
Ask yourself these questions as you plan your wedding and you’ll end up having the most special day ever. You and your other half will have the time of your lives, and your guests won’t forget this unique day in a hurry. Who wants a wedding just like everybody else’s? Forget tradition and make it about the two of you. Have a wonderful time!
