For most people, sweating is only a problem during the warm summer months. When we get too hot, our bodies sweat to cool us down, at least, that’s how it’s supposed to work. However, for some of us, sweating isn’t only caused by warm weather, it’s a constant problem. No matter what we’re doing, our bodies are always sweating, thanks to a problem called Hyperhidrosis.
Not a nice thing to think about, I know, but it’s a problem that affects a lot more people than you would think. Pit stains are something that we all dread. They’re embarrassing, they ruin our clothes, and often, come with nasty odors. While, for most people, they’re caused by hot weather, for others sweating is a daily problem.

If you’re someone who suffers from excessive sweating, the chances are that it’s left you lacking confidence. You’re probably always worrying about stains on your clothes and whether you smell. The good news is that there are plenty of ways that you can deal with excessive sweating, here are a few of them:
Find an antiperspirant that works for you
This one might sound obvious, but not all antiperspirants are suitable for everyone. Some antiperspirants can cause you to sweat more than you would without using one. It’s a strange concept to get your head around, but sometimes the ingredients used just don’t get on with your under arms.
If you haven’t found an antiperspirant that works for you yet, don’t give up. As a rule, sprays don’t tend to work as well as rub on sticks, so it’s best to opt for a stick deodorant. Instead of simply using a day antiperspirant, it might be worth investing in a nighttime one. At night, our bodies sweat a lot less than during the day, so it’s the perfect time to apply deodorant. Visit your local beauty store and pick up a strong antiperspirant that has been made especially for nighttime wear. Give it a try, and within a few days, you should see results.

If antiperspirant doesn’t help your sweating, botox could be the answer. You might think of botox as being using to beat wrinkles, and while it is, it can also be used to treat excessive sweating. You can learn more about the benefits of Botox for underarm sweating by doing some research online.
By being injected into the skin in the armpit, botox blocks the sweat glands and prevents sweating. It basically works the same as a deodorant but offers a much higher level of protection. However, it’s not a long-term treatment, as each injection only tends to last for around six months. The injections shouldn’t be too painful, just a little sore, so don’t stress.
Learn to mask sweating
By far the most embarrassing part of excessive sweating is people noticing it. That’s why you need to learn how to hide it. Believe it or not, the clothes that you wear can actually make sweating worse. For instance, clothes made of synthetic materials can increase how hot you get and can boost how much you sweat. That’s why, it’s much better to opt for clothing made of natural fibers, like cotton and wool. Loose fitting clothing is also a good idea, as if you sweat, it shouldn’t stain your clothes.
To help mask sweating, you can buy sweat shields for your clothes. However, sticking a panty liner on the inside of your sleeve can work just as well, and is much cheaper. Panty liners have a good level of absorbency, so are perfect for soaking up sweat.
If you suffer from excessive sweating, it can cause you to lose confidence and feel uncomfortable in social situations. To get your sweating under control and find ways to live with it, take note of the tips above.
