Fashion + Style | See The New Season In With These Amazing Tips

As the seasons change so do we. We alter our skin care routine and even pick out different cosmetic color palettes. Our fashion choices change too, regardless of the weather outside. This season is promising to bring a mix of weather conditions, so chances are you’re going to need a little bit of everything in your closet. Here are the season’s essentials to get you through a cold spell:

Skirts

You can still wear skirts even when the temperature is freezing. The trick to keeping warm when it’s blustery and horrible out is leggings. Combine that with long boots, and nobody needs to know what’s under there! Of course, leggings in combination with shorter length skirts look amazing for this season. Wear them instead of pantyhose to make a statement. Heavier skirts are best to avoid embarrassing lifts in a gale.

Layers

Layering has been a firm favorite for years. While you’re out, extra sweaters and cardigans help keep the chill off. Indoors, simply remove them to reveal your favorite top or blouse. Summer vests underneath those give you further options. They act to keep you warm while it’s cold, but can be revealed if the heating is on a little too high. You should consider the colors you choose. They need to work together.

Colors

This season’s colors are more vibrant than we’ve seen before. That’s not to say that white isn’t the perfect choice. And the old saying ‘don’t wear white after labor day’ means nothing to the fashion houses this season. White is the perfect color to go with boots, grays, and even creams. And knitwear looks fabulous in white too. Perfect for keeping the cold at bay!

Cosmetics And Beauty

Skin needs a lot of extra care when it’s blustery, wet and cold. You can find some fresh new lines in colors for the lips and eyes too. Keep your skin hydrated with plenty of warm water and a splash of lemon. Use richer cleansers and nourishing toners. And don’t forget to use a good lip balm to keep them soft and plump. Choose colors that offer a warmer glow this season like warm pinks and cherry reds for the lips.

Hair And Hats

If your hair is in a mess in the wind, then you’ll be delighted to know that the messy bun is here to take all that worry away. Tying the hair back prevents it getting whipped about in the wind or freezing in bitter rains. The split ends and dry breaks will be reduced significantly. Use a hair mask once a week to restore the nourishment and moisture your hair needs. And a hat will keep the chill off your poor head too! Cheeky, floppy berets look gorgeous in wool.

Of course, the rules are there to be broken. You can enjoy the season in any fashion and with any style you choose! Make the most of chunky knitwear, or choose thinner layering to enjoy your time indoors and out. Make the most of the weather, but wrap up warm out there.
