Today, we’re talking beauty. It’s no secret that we all want to look and feel as beautiful as possible. Because of that, sometimes we go to extreme lengths to achieve our goals, such as undergoing cosmetic surgery. While in some cases, cosmetic treatment can be the best option, that’s not always the case. Sometimes, DIY treatments can be just as effective.
That’s why we’ve put together this guide that compares popular treatments with DIY ones. Are DIY treatments as effective or is professional beauty always the best way to go?
It’s teeth time
When it comes to our teeth, we all want bright, beautiful shiny teeth. However, the reality is that our teeth aren’t always as perfect as we’d like them to be. While there are plenty of cosmetic treatments for fixing them, there are also DIY ones that you should try. They’re cheaper, easier and often quicker, but how effective are they?
As well as being able to buy teeth whitening treatments over-the-counter, you can also make them yourself. Many people swear by using a bicarbonate of soda to whiten their teeth. While DIY methods, like bicarbonate of soda, do whiten teeth, sadly the results don’t compare to professional ones. DIY teeth whitening works, but the results are not as good as professional treatments. They are, however, much more cost-effective.
Let’s talk breasts
If you’ve always wanted larger breasts, then you may be considering having a breast augmentation. While cosmetic surgery is the only permanent means of altering the size of your breasts, there are a few DIY routes that can be as effective. (Well, at least semi-permanently, that is.)
To make your breasts appear larger, a push-up bra can be incredibly effective. For instance, Wonderbra do some amazing bras that help to give the illusion of a larger cleavage. Or, how about using chicken fillets? Chicken fillets are silicone implants that you place in your bra, to boost how large your breasts look. Basically, it’s like getting a boob job without going under the knife.
Obviously, these DIY methods of enlarging your breasts are more affordable. However, as they’re only a semi-permanent fix, they’re not as effective. You’ll save yourself thousands and won’t need time off work, but sadly, the results just don’t compare.
What are the best weight loss treatments?
Next up, we’re talking about weight loss. Over the past few years, liposuction has become a popular form of weight loss. Thanks to medical advancements it’s quick, fairly painless and the results are amazing. However, because it’s a surgical procedure it’s expensive and comes with a level of risk. The question is, how well do the alternatives compare?
Obviously, the best way to lose weight is through diet and exercise. However, when it comes to shedding areas of stubborn fat, sometimes diet and exercise aren’t enough. But a cleanse program, like the famous C9 – the nine-day aloe vera cleanse, could be the answer. It won’t come cheap, but it will be more affordable that undergoing liposuction.
Knowing the best route to go down when it comes to beauty can often be tricky. Hopefully, however, this guide has given you an idea of what form of treatment – cosmetic or DIY, is best for dealing with common concerns.
