Sleep is for the weak, they said. But, what they didn’t say is that sleep is essential if you want a healthy mind and body. So, staying up all night is for the weak, actually. You must ensure you get a good night’s sleep all the time. Here are some ways you can do just that:
Doing yoga before bed can be a tremendous way to ensure you’re getting a good sleep. What makes bedtime yoga so great is that it relaxes your body. You’ve probably spent most of the day doing stuff, and rarely had time to relax. By doing a few yoga poses, you can relax your body and calm your mind. Tight muscles will be loosened and any pain will fade away. By the time you’re finished, you’ll be ready to fall into bed and sleep immediately. And, as a bonus, yoga can help you stay fit & healthy. So, you get two great benefits for the price of one.
It is important that you know the right type of yoga to do before bed. Some yoga is far more intense than others. You’ve got some that are a lot more like cardiovascular exercise. Do this before bed and you’ll be out of breath and sweating, which is not good! Look for stuff that focuses on stretching, and breathing. A lot of the time, you’ll struggle to sleep because of what you’re sleeping on. Take it from someone that spent a few years sleeping on a sofa bed, it isn’t good for you. I remember staying in a hotel once, and I couldn’t sleep for ages because there was too much noise coming from the bar next to it.
