Many case studies have shown that if you are someone that lives alone, you are much more likely to suffer from dementia than someone who doesn’t. While you don’t need to move in with someone to prevent this, you can do more things with other people. It could be joining a club or a group where you will interact with others. Even just more regular get-togethers with family and friends will make a difference.

Eat Fish

We have long heard of the benefits of eating fish. Especially the fish like mackerel and salmon that are rich in fatty acids that help you to function. They are great for the mind! They are also healthy as they are low in unsaturated fat. So eat plenty of fish in your diet.

Try New Things

When you try new things, your brain has to think about what it is doing. It has to work a little harder and use more memory. So trying new things on a regular basis is a great idea to keep your brain in top shape. It could be a new hobby, a new skill or just driving home a different route. It will all help.
