You can’t have everything in life, at least not without working for it, and that’s especially true when it comes to maintaining a healthy lifestyle with a hectic lifestyle. Which do you cut out, the hard work and socialising, or the healthy practices that ensure your body is in tip-top condition? While it is difficult to get the balance right, with a bit of effort it’s more than possible to make sure your body is healthy and you’re still able to do everything you need to do.

Streamline Your Food

It’s much easier when you need to run out the door in the morning and you’ve got a busy day, just to eat junk food. But eating well doesn’t take as much time as you might think, especially if you get into the habit of making three ingredient meals. These are super quick and easy to make and are guaranteed to be healthy for you. There are also plenty of healthy microwave meals you can make yourself (ditch the packaged microwave meals…they’re no good for you).

Make the Most of Your Smartphone

You’re carrying around your smartphone all the time (indeed, that’s one of the reasons for your hectic lifestyle), so why not put it to some good use and use it keep you healthy? There are tons of fitness apps available that you can use throughout the day to make sure you’re kept on track for a healthy lifestyle. When you’re unwell, you can save time without compromising your health and use an online dr; when you’re out shopping, you can scan the products, so you know exactly how healthy they’ll be for you. Use your phone as a healthy lifestyle tool, and you’ll be streamlining your way to a fitter, healthier body.

Fitting in the Exercise

Your life is busy, but there’s always time to fit in exercise. There’s not always time for a 1.5-hour session at the gym, but that’s not necessary if you’re just trying to stay healthy. Instead, fit in short 7-10 minute exercise routines whenever you can throughout the day. It might not sound like much, but it’ll help keep your body in check during those times when you’re too busy to work out more.

Morning/Evening Routines

You’re more inclined to be healthy if you’re in a happy, calm state of mind. In the morning, wake up 10 minutes earlier than usual and do an intense stretching or yoga regime. It’s the perfect way start your day! In the evening, try some meditation during before you go to sleep, and also turn off any technology in the two hours before you go to school. You’ll feel and sleep better without those flashing, buzzing images racing through your mind.

Skip the After Works Drinks

It’s all too easy to fall into the habit of having more alcoholic drinks than we planned. With after-work drinks and weekend get-togethers, a lot of us are drinking more than we should. Cut down the beer and wine, and you’ll feel fitter in no time!
